This policy explains how Victory Commercial Interiors Ltd, trading as Office Furniture 24/7, collects and uses your personal information when you visit officefurniture247.co.uk, create an account, place an order, sign up to our newsletter or contact us. It also explains your rights and how to use them.
We only collect what we need to run our business and look after our customers, and we never sell your personal information.
Victory Commercial Interiors Ltd is the controller of your personal information. This means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have a question about this policy or your information, email us with "Data protection" in the subject line.
Your name, billing address, delivery address, email address and phone number, the details of what you ordered, and any discount code you used. If you buy for a business, we also collect your company name and, if you give it, your VAT number. If you book pre-build or installation, we may also collect details about access to your premises, such as the floor level, whether there is a goods lift and parking.
Payments are made through Orbit Payments and processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that the payment succeeded and a masked reference, such as the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code.
Your name, email address and password, plus your saved addresses and order history. Your password is stored in a scrambled (hashed) form that nobody at Office Furniture 24/7 can read.
Your name, email address, phone number, company name if you give it, and what you tell us, whether you email, phone or use the form on our contact page. We keep a record of the conversation and anything we agree.
Your email address, and a record of when and how you agreed to receive our emails. We use it to send our newsletter and the welcome offer of 10% off your first order.
Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and when you visit. This comes from cookies and similar technologies and from server logs.
The platform our shop runs on also records the pages viewed during each visit, so that we can see how many people visit our website and which pages they look at. These statistics are for our own use, and are not shared with advertisers.
If you allow analytics or marketing cookies, the tools in those categories also collect information about how you use the site. Our Cookie Policy explains this.
You can browse our website without creating an account or telling us who you are.
If you take part in a survey or promotion, we will collect the information you give us and explain at the time how we will use it.
Our website is for adults and businesses, and we do not knowingly collect information about children. We do not ask for special category information, such as health or ethnic origin, so please do not send it to us.
Data protection law says we must have a lawful basis for each way we use your information. These are the uses and the basis we rely on for each.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interests are fair to you, and we will not use your information in ways you would not reasonably expect. You can object to this use at any time (see "Your rights" below).
We only send you marketing emails, such as news about new products, offers and upcoming sales, if you have agreed to receive them, for example by signing up to our newsletter. We do not add you to our newsletter just because you placed an order.
You can stop them at any time. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email sales@officefurniture247.co.uk. It costs you nothing, and we will act on your request promptly.
Unsubscribing does not stop emails about your orders, such as order acknowledgements and delivery updates, because we need to send those to fulfil your order.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
We only share your information where we need to, with organisations that must keep it secure and only use it for the purpose we share it for.
We may share anonymous statistics that cannot identify anyone.
We aim to keep your personal information in the UK or the European Economic Area.
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure the transfer is protected by law, for example because the UK has recognised the country as providing adequate protection, or because the provider has signed the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.
Cookies are small files that let a website remember things about your visit. We use the cookies that are needed to run the shop, such as those that keep your basket and checkout working. We only use optional cookies, such as analytics or marketing cookies, if you agree to them through our cookie banner.
Our Cookie Policy explains what we use and how to change your choices.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
We take security seriously. Our measures include:
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please help by choosing a strong password, not using it on other websites, and telling us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
To use any of these rights, email sales@officefurniture247.co.uk with "Data protection" in the subject line. There is no charge. We will respond within one month. If your request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months, and we will tell you if we need to.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request, so that we do not give your information to the wrong person. In some cases the law allows or requires us to refuse a request, for example where we must keep records. If so, we will explain why.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first by emailing sales@officefurniture247.co.uk, so we can try to put it right. We will acknowledge your complaint and keep you informed while we look into it.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator:
